Safflower Carthamus tinctorius L. Safflower is an annual plant similar to the thistle, its flowers are globose with colors ranging from orange, yellow and red. It can grow in full sun and reach 90 cm in height. It is a summer plant, very showy for the orchard or as a cut flower.
