Agricultural Gypsum

Agricultural gypsum is an ancestral solution rediscovered by modern producers seeking to regenerate their soils and increase productivity without chemicals. Composed of di-hydrated calcium sulfate (CaSO₄-2H₂O), this mineral provides calcium and sulfur in optimal proportions for agriculture: 23.3% calcium and 18.6% sulfur. Its high solubility (2.5 g/L) makes it 200 times more effective than agricultural lime in penetrating and improving deep soil layers.

Thanks to its action, it corrects sodic and saline soils, reducing the PSI (percentage of exchangeable sodium) below 5%, which favors the flocculation of clay particles and allows greater water infiltration. Studies in Brazil have shown that its use increases the root system of crops such as corn, soybeans or wheat by more than 600 %, with yield increases of up to 50 %.

In addition to improving the physical structure of the soil, agricultural gypsum combats the formation of surface crusts, increases root oxygenation and improves seedling emergence. Its application is recommended in autumn or in solution by fertigation, being effective even in soils with high pH without modifying it, thanks to its neutral nature.
