January Planting Calendar
Despite being in the middle of winter, January is a month in which we can already start the germination of many seeds of spring-summer crops. The only thing we have to take into account for a correct germination is that this has to be done in protected or heated seedbeds, for this we can do them in greenhouses or in seedbeds with hot bed.
We will notice that time passes slowly in our garden, this is normal due to the low temperatures and the hours of sunshine, even so we have good news. In January the days start to be longer and our plants will be grateful for it.
It is also time to start harvesting some things that we had put in our garden at the beginning of autumn, such as some cauliflowers, spring onions, lettuce, radishes…. It’s time to start tasting our own food.
