In September we can sow the following vegetables, many of these you can start to taste them in a few months, as some of them we can start consuming their leaves and others are fast growing like radishes.
In this month autumn begins, it does not mean that we have to have the garden empty and devoid of life, here is a wide selection of vegetables that will surely fill your pantry with color and flavor.


Swiss chard
- Direct sowing of seed, without transplanting
- Rinse when the plants are about 12 cm long.
- Germination in 10-12 days
- Harvesting in 3-4 months
- Light and frequent watering, maintain humidity.
- Container: 3 liters

Garlic
- Direct sowing of garlic cloves (tips upwards)
- From crescent moon, never full moon
- Germination in 10-12 days
- Harvesting in 3-4 months for tender garlic
- Low and spaced irrigation
- Container: min. 3 liters

Celery
- Seedbed planting
- Germination in 15-18 days, transplanting with 3-4 leaves.
- Harvest in 7-8 months
- You can collect leaves as you need them
- Frequent watering, maintain humidity
- Container: min. 9 liters

Borage
- Direct seeding, without transplanting
- Germination in 6-10 days, harvest in 2-4 months
- You can collect leaves as you need them
- Flowering 4 months after planting
- Light and frequent watering, maintain humidity
- Container: 22 liters
Calçots

- Direct sowing from seed or in seedbed
- Transplantation when they are the thickness of a pencil
- Germination in 10-12 days
- Harvesting in 4-5 months
- Low and spaced irrigation
- Container: 5 liters
Lamb’s lettuce

- Direct sowing of seed, without transplanting
- Germination in 8-10 days
- Harvesting in 6 weeks
- Keep light and frequent, maintain humidity
- Container: 5 liters
Onions

- Sowing in protected seedbed, peat pots
- Transplantation when they are the thickness of a pencil
- Germination in 10-12 days
- Tender harvesting in 2-3 months or dry harvesting in 5-6 months
- Low and spaced irrigation

Parsnips

- Direct seeding or broadcast sowing, without transplanting.
- Germination in 20-25 days
- Harvesting in 4 months

Spinach

- Direct sowing of seed, without transplanting

Beans

- 30 cm apart, macerate the seeds before sowing.

Peas

- Direct seeding without transplanting
- Plants spaced between 30 and 50 centimeters apart
- Germination in 12-15 days
- Harvesting in 4-5 months

- Container: 5-10 liters
Lettuce

- Sowing in seedbeds, peat pots
- Transplant when they have 4-5 true leaves.
- Germination in 6-8 days
- Harvest in 2-4 months
- You can collect leaves as you need them

Turnip
- Direct sowing of seed, without transplanting
- Germination in 6-8 days
- Harvesting in 3 months
- Frequent and abundant watering

Leeks
- Direct sowing or in seedbeds
- Plants spaced 15 centimeters apart
- Germination in 12-15 days
- Harvesting in 5 months
- Light watering, maintain humidity
- Container: 5 liters, minimum depth: 25-30 cm.

Radishes
