Potassium Bicarbonate is a natural fungicide that works by contact and broad spectrum for the control of ash and other fungal diseases of plants in general. It stops the growth of pathogenic fungi of the foliage by altering processes of osmotic pressure regulation, causing the destruction of the cell walls of the pathogen. It is used as a foliar application using a sufficient volume of water to ensure complete coverage of all stems and foliage. It is recommended to apply weekly during periods of high disease outbreaks or when conditions for disease development are higher. After three applications, the concentration or frequency of application can be reduced to prevent disease.
